Finished 14th....2nd time that same fuckhead called me with a weak hand and won.....i had QQ raised like 40,000 and the bum calls........hits the flush with .get this.Q8s.......could he have had a deader hand?????? and hits the damn flush.

Id love to see some stats on how many hands a particular player takes to showdown on Party compared to other sites, it just seems like its so hard to get people out of a hand at Party, its like the 1st thing they think is "he's bluffing'...i know at absolute the players generally wont call a big bet without a monster or a big draw but party.....any 2 suited will do....

Question where do you play these touranments for sattelite, and i would question going all in with 77 that is just a borderline hand. Would of waited for the flop

this was the new tourny at party for the 1 mill guar.

As you can see i only had 56,000 and the blinds were 18,000. i pretty much had to make a move and usually when someone goes all-in from 1st position u can book them for a big hand, so i thought my fold equity plus the that would make this a decent if not desperate play..i know if im on the button and someone goes all-in from 1st position im not calling with A8..BUT THEN IF I THOUGHT I HAD A SHOT IN HELL OF GETTING AN A88 FLOP I MIGHT CHANGE MY OPINION I GUESS.....LOL

77 is for me a definite all in in first position in this situation, unless my table image was loose at that point.

Sure any higher pair has you dominated but much more often you'll be looked up by AK, AQ or AJ when you are slight favourite to double up. You are first in so have first mover advantage, plus the blinds are just about to swallow up a good chunk of your stack.

In my experience 80% of the time everyone else folds here at a moderate or tight table. You need to make a move, if you're not going to move with 77 then what are you going to move with?

I actually prefer going all in short-stacked with a hand like 77 in first position compared to, say, the button. One of the blinds is bound to reckon you are stealing on the button and if he has any kind of hand he'll look you up, so in my view you have much less fold equity on the button than first in. In addition, on the button you are not under so much pressure to act from the blinds as you can see another 6 hands without putting in any money.
